Diagnostech Wins Large Home Warranty Insurance Claim
The Home Warranty Insurance Scheme has long proven a minefield for many Strata Owners with stories of unsucessful claims, inadequate coverage, and sadly we have recently seen many claims won yet poorly executed work has resulted in claims on top of claims. However every now and then you hear of a success story such as ours!
Diagnostech have over the last 5 years worked hand in hand with a determined Owners Corporation and a well qualified Strata and Construction Lawyer to successfully claim restitution for approximately $6M worth of construction defects plus associated costs bringing the total of the claim to an estimated $8M.
The prestige strata unit building in Mosman, Sydney has among many defects suffered extensive waterproofing and facade defects as well inadequate fire protection and essential services since construction. However after a long and drawn out battle with the Home Warranty Insurer, we are pleased to announce that all claimed defects have been agreed and remedial works are scheduled to commence in early 2011.
Diagnostech have been appointed Project Managers on behalf of the Strata and will be proud to have been involved with the claim from inception to completion. We will update this story as the works progress.
