At Diagnostech, we’re committed to looking after our team and ensuring everyone feels supported. That’s why we’re excited to announce our new partnership with CU Health – an initiative designed to support our team’s health and well-being; with the convenience they need.
This partnership reinforces our commitment to being an employer of choice.
As industry leaders in building defects diagnosis and the design and management of high-quality remedial building projects, we understand that success starts with a strong, healthy team.
We have a team of experienced Building Consultants, Engineers, and Project Managers, all dedicated to providing practical and effective solutions grounded in integrity, knowledge, and commitment.
What’s special about CU Health?
CU Health provides an innovative digital platform that connects users to healthcare professionals that will connect the Diagnostech team to GPs, Psychologists, Dietitians & Health coaches all through a simple video call. It also offers a wealth of health resources such as articles, videos, and self-help tools to support overall wellbeing. The platform is designed to be accessible, flexible, and private – perfect for today’s busy lifestyle.
To give you the inside scoop, Linda Fernandez, our General Manager, sat down with Managing Director, Dennis Stephenson, to find out what he wants people to know about this partnership, why it matters, and how it reflects our values at Diagnostech.
Here’s what Dennis had to say.
Interview: Diagnostech’s New Wellbeing Initiative
Linda: Dennis, what’s the most important thing you want people to know about this new partnership with CU Health?
Dennis: The most important thing is that we genuinely care about our people. This partnership isn’t just about ticking a box – it’s about making sure our team feels supported, valued, and looked after. If our people aren’t feeling their best, they can’t do their best work. By partnering with CU Health, we’re making it easier for them to access health resources when they need them. It’s about showing our team that we’ve got their backs.
Linda: Why did you personally feel this was the right move for Diagnostech?
Dennis: To me, it just makes sense. Our success depends on our people, so it’s only right that we look after them. CU Health offers a practical, no-nonsense way to do that. Their platform is easy to use, private, and flexible – perfect for our busy team who are often out on-site or balancing work and life commitments. I wanted a solution that actually helps people without adding more stress or complications, and CU Health delivers that.
Linda: How is this different from a traditional Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?
Dennis: Great question. Traditional EAPs are typically focused on short-term counseling or crisis intervention. They’re useful but often limited in scope. CU Health goes way beyond that. It’s proactive and holistic – it offers ongoing support, preventative care, and easy access to a wide range of healthcare professionals.
Our team can book appointments when it suits them and get help before things become bigger issues. Whether they need mental health support, a GP check-up, or even nutritional advice, they can get it all in one place. It’s more flexible, more comprehensive, and way more useful for day-to-day well-being. Plus, it’s completely private and convenient, which makes it easier for people to actually use it.
Linda: You mentioned that the platform is practical and easy to use. Why is that so important?
Dennis: Because I want people to actually use it! There’s no point in offering a health benefit that’s complicated or inconvenient. The CU Health platform lets our team book appointments online and have video calls with healthcare professionals, whether it’s a GP, a mental health specialist, or a nutritionist. They can access it from their phone or computer, in their own time and with privacy. It’s about making it as easy as possible for people to look after themselves.
There’s also a whole library of health resources, from articles to videos, which fits with our ‘Knowledge First value. It’s about giving people the tools they need to make informed decisions about their health.
Linda: How does this partnership reflect Diagnostech’s values?
Dennis: This partnership is a reflection of who we are as a company. At Diagnostech, we lead with integrity – and that means looking after our team, not just saying we do. We’ve built a culture that’s all about respect, integrity, and commitment. This partnership shows that we’re serious about those values.
It also ties in with our Commitment Throughout value. We’re not just paying lip service to employee wellbeing. We’re putting real resources behind it because we’re committed to supporting our team every step of the way, both in and out of work.
We also wanted something that was Relatable and Accessible. CU Health’s platform is designed for everyone, regardless of how tech-savvy they are. It’s about making sure no one gets left behind when it comes to their health.
Linda: Is there anything else you want to say about this initiative?
Dennis: Just that this is only the beginning. We’re committed to continually supporting our team’s wellbeing. This partnership with CU Health is a big step, but we’re always open to feedback and new ideas. We want to keep improving and doing what’s right for our people;
