You will work with our team of Building Consultants, Engineers and Building Surveyors to diagnose building defects, produce detailed reports and design and oversee remedial building projects.
Your role and responsibilities will include:
Conducting building defect audits
Conducting building condition audits
Conducting dilapidation surveys
Conducting technical due diligence surveys
Field work including investigations into building defects
Preparing detailed and structured reports for various client types
Designing and producing Technical Specifications for remedial building projects
Administering tender processes
Project managing remedial building projects
Providing Expert Witness services (for some candidates)
Minimum requirements for this role:
Minimum of 5 years proven Building Surveying experience in Australia, UK or NZ
A great understanding of building principles and design
A great understanding of remedial construction techniques and materials
A sound understanding of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards
A-grade English communication skills – written and oral
Ability to work independently and also collaboratively within a team
Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding etc
Must have great professional ethics and operate with integrity
Must be motivated and willing to make an impact
Must appreciate the confidential nature of some of our work
